Jungheinrich understands intelligent intralogistics as the best possible interaction between man, machine, software and the individual warehouse environments. Small and medium-sized businesses benefit from this just as much as global companies with complex warehouse environments and a high degree of automation. Jungheinrich tailors the flow of goods or materials: via manual, semi-automated or fully automated processes.

Products and services

The future is electric!

This conviction has driven Jungheinrich since the company was founded in 1953. Today, almost all Jungheinrich trucks have an electric drive. Being a pioneer of electric mobility, this self-image prompted Jungheinrich exactly ten years ago to be the first manufacturer to launch an industrial truck with a lithium-ion battery, thus initiating the current energy revolution in intralogistics.

Jungheinrich has evolved into a specialist for battery and charging technology. The advantages of the new technology, such as freedom from maintenance, durability, fast-charging capability and safety, are unrivalled. This is now manifested in trucks that consistently exploit the advantages of the lithium-ion battery in their design and construction. The vehicles are shorter, safer and more comfortable than all industrial trucks before them. As a result, they also create what is most precious in the warehouse: space.

ERD 220i

In May 2021, Jungheinrich unveiled the ERD 220i, the latest member of its fleet of industrial trucks with the lithium-ion battery pack firmly integrated into the truck design. Compared to the predecessor model, it is more than 300 mm shorter thanks to its new lithium-ion battery concept, which corresponds to a space saving of around 25 per cent. The compact dimensions give it particularly agile handling.

Driverless transport systems

Designed on the basis of field-tested series vehicles and controlled by intelligent software, automated guided vehicles (AGVs) are the heart of automated intralogistics. Fully automatic, precise and safe, they perform recurring transport tasks throughout the production and storage area. An essential component are personal protection sensors, which are equipped with a warning field and a protective field to permanently monitor the immediate travel paths. This means that it can also be used in mixed operation with manual industrial trucks without any problems.
The new EKS 215a is Jungheinrich’s answer to numerous customer requests regarding space requirements and application possibilities. The truck is more compact, more powerful and more user-friendly than any before it.
