ÖBB-Holding AG has been at the top of the holding structure since 2005; as parent company it is responsible for the strategic orientation of the entire Group. Under the umbrella of the holding company, ÖBB is divided into three operative subsidiaries, ÖBB-Personenverkehr AG, Rail Cargo Austria AG and ÖBB-Instrastruktur AG.

Austrian Federal Railways – Austria’s largest mobility services provider. As a provider of comprehensive mobility services, the ÖBB Group takes 459 million passengers and 115 million tonnes of goods to their destinations in an environmentally friendly way every year.

The Austrian Federal Railways are Austria’s leading climate protection company, which saves with their effort roughly 3.5 Billion tons of CO2 per year. 100 percent of the power used for the railway network is produced from renewable resources.

With a punctuality rate of around 96 percent, ÖBB ranked among the most punctual railway operators in Europe in 2017.
