In the 50 years of its company history, the Lower Austrian company POLYTECHNIK has taken a path from being an exhaust and filter technology manufacturer to being one of the world’s leading suppliers for the planning and delivery of turnkey biomass combustion plants for heat and power generation.

POLYTECHNIK offers these combustion plants in the power range from 300 kW to 30,000 kW single-boiler power. Specially developed combustion systems are used depending on the type and water content of the fuel. The transport media are warm water, hot water, steam or thermal oil. The systems can be used for heating and process heat as well as for electricity generation (from 200 kWel to 20,000 kWel).

Approximately 240 employees are employed in four ISO 9001 certified production facilities and 15 engineering, sales and service offices throughout Europe as well as four other overseas locations.

The export rate of the leading Austrian company is currently 96 per cent, and more than 3000 plants are running worldwide to the satisfaction of the operators. Alongside the largest European aircraft builder and an internationally renowned cosmetics group, its customers also include British protein and Russian wood-processing companies that dominate the world market.
