Fieberbrunn / Vienna (LCG) – On September 28th 2013, at the behest and invitation of cafe + co International Holding CEO Gerald Steger, Leitbetriebe Austria, the Economic Chamber of Kitzbühel, the board of tourism for Pillerseetal and the magazine Society, approximately 130 business leaders and 20 diplomats will for the fourth time abandon their sleek office floors and instead strap on a pair of hiking boots in order to spend one day in the Tyrolean Alps. “The economic hike in the beautiful mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps, represents an incomparable way of bringing together decision makers from politics, media, culture, economics and international diplomacy within a relaxed yet stimulating environment in order to set standards for people in need of help within our country,” states café + co project manager and organizer Herbert Rieser on the star-studded cast attending the hike.

With their participation, the attendees will not just catch a breath of fresh air, but they will actually do something good by supporting the “Network Tyrol Helps” which supports people in dire need of help in Tyrol. The Tyrolean Provincial Minister of Education and Culture, Mrs. Beate Palfrader (V) will once again join numerous other high-profile business leaders by participating in this year’s event and is always a welcomed guest. “I hike with enthusiasm, especially in my home district of Kitzbühel. I can fuel up incredibly well on energy”, so the provincial minister that is looking forward to the hike in late September.

On the question of the relationship between business and education & culture, Palfrader states that she is convinced “that the economic competitiveness and our prosperity largely depend on the level of education and the willingness towards education of the people in our country.” “A comprehensive cultural offering and a vibrant cultural life at the business hub Tyrol contribute significantly to the high quality of life of the Tyrolean population and are also a sort of ,fertilizer’ for our tourism,” said Palfrader and underscores in conclusion: “Culture is not a luxury, but an indispensable greater good of our society! ”
