In 1924 Salm was founded by Georg and Josef Welledits, nowadays the familiy business is run by the third generation of the family.
Salm manufactures small to medium size brewery equipment which has so far been exported to 40 countries. To offer customers a training facility, the restaurant brewery Salm Bräu was founded in 1994. In 2019 a second restaurant brewery was opened – Stöckl im Park with a large beer garden.
