Vienna, Austrian Economic Chamber, 07.02.2017. Digitalised production processes, new technologies and innovative products will be the decisive factors for the sustainable growth and increasing profitability of the Austrian market in the coming years. In 2017, the excellence platform Leitbetriebe Austria is therefore focussing its activities entirely on the issue of in-house innovation, which was also the subject of an expert discussion with representatives from leading Austrian companies. This expert discussion was organised together with Außenwirtschaft Austria and the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs.
“Today’s motto is ‘No innovation without cooperation’”, explains Leitbetriebe Austria Managing Director Monica Rintersbacher. “In the digital economy, research departments can no longer operate in isolation much more, but rather innovation is, to a great extent, the result of cross-company and cross-sector networking”.
Platform for establishing more efficient cooperations
Therefore, a central task of Leitbetriebe Austria is to offer the leading Austrian companies an efficient platform for making important contacts, exchanging information and finding cooperation and business partners: “Our top-class special events have become important meeting points for Austrian executives. They contribute greatly to further intensifying the networking of our leading companies within Austria. We also support our leading companies with intensifying their international contacts in cooperation with Außenwirtschaft Austria and the Foreign Ministry. This opens up new development prospects for highly innovative companies.”
