Securing the future through circular economy
Recycling is essential in order to reduce planetary overload and achieve the European climate neutrality goals. With the “resources SAVED by recycling” study, Interzero has been providing important insights for the circular transformation for over 15 years. The latest study illustrates the extent to which climate and resources are preserved: in 2024, Interzero kept around 1.94 million tons of recyclables in circulation, saving 8.09 million tons of primary resources – equivalent to the weight of more than four million SUVs. At the same time, recycling activities avoided a total of 1.04 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions, which corresponds to approximately 3.2 million one-way car journeys between Warsaw and Valencia. These figures highlight the environmental impact of Interzero’s work and its contribution to a world without waste.
