Lack of skilled workers? Network of Excellence, Leitbetriebe Austria, discusses solutions

  • A lack of skilled workers can be solved internally
  • Continual internal knowledge transfer is the key to success
  • Leitbetrieben Austria certifies new network partner in Upper Austria

Perg, 23.04.2015 – „The most valuable asset of a company is and always will be their employees. Companies which are successful in the long term are those that find a balance between innovation and a training-based, meaningful company culture that attracts and retains employees“, said Monica Rintersbacher, Director of Leitbetriebe Austria, in her welcoming speech before guests on the premises of  HABAU in Perg.

Her reference was above all to the much discussed lack of skilled workers which was the topic for the whole evening. The problem“, said Ms Rintersbacher, „is less an actual lack of skilled workers but rather a basic lack of workers altogether due to demographic development. All in all the number of workers available is already sinking. That makes the attractiveness of companies more important. Many leading companies therefore develop their own employees, offer flexible remuneration models, additional retirement schemes and guarantees of employment“, said Ms Rintersbacher.

The following leading companies were certified or recertified on this occasion:

  • ABB AG – Zentrale – Herr Ing. Franz Chalupecky,
  • GW Cosmetics GesmbH – Herr Mag. Rainer Deisenhammer, GF
  • HABAU Hoch- und Tiefbaugesellschaft m.b.H.- Herr DI Anton Karner
  • Mibag Sanierungs GmbH – Herr Dipl. Ing. Gerhard Nowak & Herr Ing. Walter Resch
  • Paltentaler Minerals GmbH & Co KG – Frau Lisa Schrottshammer
  • Weba Werkzeugbau Betriebs GmbH – Herr Hannes Feuerhuber
  • Weigl Aufzüge Ges.m.b.H.- Frau Mag. Karin Weigl
