Austria’s leading electricity enterprise was certified on Thursday evening at the power station in Freudenau as an Austrian Leading Company. The Managing Director of Leitbetriebe Austria Mrs Rintersbacher stressed VERBUND’s pioneering role in conservation, innovation and company culture.
Vienna (LCG) – The Network for Corporate Excellence welcomed a new partner, namely VERBUND, on Thursday evening at the power station in Freudenau by awarding the company with a certificate from Leitbetriebe Austria.
“VERBUND produces more than 90 percent of its electricity from hydro stations, supplemented by wind turbines. In addition to green energy and natural gas which is neutral to the climate, VERBUND provides their customers with additional value in the form of new products and services. Eco-sustainability, exemplary company culture, and orientation towards innovation almost lead automatically to inclusion as a leading company”, said Monica Rintersbacher, Managing Director of Leitbetriebe Austria, at the award ceremony.
“We are very pleased to receive this award as an Austrian Leading Company which reinforces our company vision as a sustainable generator of electricity as well as a responsible employer. We will shape the future of energy supply with innovative products and customer-oriented solutions and do our part to protect the environment and the climate”, said Mr Wolfgang Anzengruber, Chairman of the Board of VERBUND who accepted the award together with the acting Chairman Mr Johann Sereinig.
